The callers and cuers were all outstanding.  </div> <bR> <div> The next opportunity to mix with other Sandpipers will be at our general meeting on the 12<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >th</FONT> of December.  Remember that we are having a potluck dinner after the meeting.  The meeting will start at 5 PM.  The potluck will start at 5:45 PM with round dancing starting at 7 PM.  Be sure to let the Andersons know what type of dish you are bringing. Their phone number is 858-674-6886.  Their e-mail is <FONT SIZE="3" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><A HREF="mailto:larrya1994@aol.com" TARGET="_top" TITLE="mailto:larrya1994@aol.com"><U>larrya1994@aol.com</U></A></FONT>.  It is requested that you also <B>bring Christmas cookies for the dance</B>.  We are inviting the class members to attend the potluck.  They are a great and enthusiastic group of people.  We think they are great new dancers and Jim Randal, their instructor, has expressed the same feelings.  We are very lucky to have such an enthusiastic group of people.  The first couple of squares will be at their level of dance.  Mix in with them.  Make a special effort to make them feel welcome.  </div> <bR> <div> Speaking of the class, they have completed their 1st 8-week session and have started their 2<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >nd</FONT> 8-week session.  We have 29 students signed up.  The club has been supporting the class well, providing as many angels as we have students, sometimes more.  The class is outstanding, filled with excited and enthused people.  At break time, the room is abuzz with talking.</div> <bR> <div> We still have room for about 25 more couples at our New Year's Eve Dance.  One of the nice things about this party is that it's over at 12 midnight.  We always enjoy it more than any other New Year's Party that we have ever attended.  We also have a great international caller, Gary Shoemake, and cuer Rey Garza. This year we are co-sponsoring the dance with the Circulators.  The donation is $19/person or $38/ couple.  As we did last year, pre-rounds will begin at 8:00 PM and squares from 8:30 PM until midnight.  The heavy hors d'oeuvres were a real success last year, so we will do that again.  There will be an A-1 tip at 10:00 PM and an A-2 tip at 11:00 PM.  We will welcome in the New Year with our usual toast.  This year we have an international caller, Gary Shoemake, and Rey Garza cueing. </div> <bR> <div> <B>Please make your reservation early</B>!  Jim has copies of the reservation flyer.  The flyers will also be available at our classes and our dances.  Pick one up, fill it out, and get it to Jim ASAP.  With the Circulators also selling tickets to the San Diego clubs, we will sell out quickly.  We, naturally, need to limit the number of tickets available and want to make sure all our Sandpipers can attend. </div> <bR> <div> Larry and Nancy Anderson will be contacting you closer to the event to help with crock pots, some food, kitchen help and assistance with cleaning up and closing down at the end of the dance.
